AQUA DOME SKIING – Our tip for AQUA DOME hotel guests: We will take you directly from the hotel to the skiing area and back for free during the entire winter season. The buses run every 10 minutes. You will find a ski rental directly at the hotel.

And after skiing or snowboarding, you can relax at the AQUA DOME thermal spa with sauna and fitness on 20,000m² or at the hotel’s SPA 3000 with various saunas and steam baths.

Sölden’s ranks among Europe’s most famous ski and snowboard centers. The winter ski area boasts 144 kilometers of immaculate slopes, leading from the top at 3250 meters altitude down to the valley at 1377 meters above sea level. Perfect snow conditions are guaranteed from November through May thanks to the linked glacier ski area on Tiefenbach and Rettenbach, and the state-of-the-art snow making systems.

Skigebiet Obergurgl Hochgurgl: Skigebiet Obergurgl Hochgurgl: Thanks to huge mountain lift capacities (up to 40,000 persons per hour) and several base terminals in the village center, lift lines are literally unknown. 24 ski lifts are spread over the wonderful ski area which offers superb snow conditions at high altitudes (1,800 – 3,080 meters above sea level) from mid-November through early May. Every year Obergurgl-Hochgurgl is the first non-glacier ski area in Tirol to open its slopes!

SKI AREA SÖLDEN – FACTS

Sölden’s great winter ski area is directly connected to the glacier slopes by a number of ski lifts and gondolas called Golden Gate to the Glacier. Skiing enthusiasts can ski uninterrupetedly from the village of Sölden up to the glaciers at the elevation of 3,250 m – With a total length of 15.0 km the ski route from Schwarze Schneide at Rettenbach Glacier is the region’s longest ski trail featuring nearly 2,000 m elevation change.

A varied choice of ski slopes on 432 ha for all preferences:

  • 69,5 km blue ski trails (easy)
  • 44,9 km red ski trails (intermediate)
  • 29,2 km black ski trails (difficult)
  • 1,9 km ski routes
  • 145,5 km in total

Sölden has the marvelous BIG 3 vantage points – Therefore it is Austria’s only ski area with 3 mountains higher than 3,000 meters which are accessible by top modern lifts. The BIG 3 are:

  • Gaislachkogl (3,058 m)
  • Tiefenbachkogl (3,250 m)
  • Schwarze Schneide (3,340 m)
  • And the BIG 3 Rally ranks among the most beautiful ski trails across the entire ski region, also comprising a visit to all BIG 3 platforms.

    More than 30 huts and mountain restaurants within the ski area are warmly welcoming you! Rustic mountain huts, umbrella bars, spacious free-flow restaurants cater to suit all tastes. Great après-ski ambience is guaranteed as well.
