Our new wellness feeling after a major remodelling
We have just been honoured once again with the World Spa Award for ‘World’s Best Mineral & Hot Springs Spa 2025’. Anyone who knows us knows that we don’t rest on our laurels. In October, we completed a major refurbishment and extension of the sauna area and a stylish facelift in the spa dome. New wellness feeling in the thermal spa and sauna area
In the thermal baths, curved wooden walls on the lounger galleries absorb the wave motion of the water, meaning more peace and privacy in the centre of the thermal spa dome. We have also redesigned some premium relaxation rooms – for deep relaxation after swimming in thermal water drawn from a depth of 1,865 metres.
The sauna landscape also needs to be experienced in a new way. Discover the newly designed sauna garden and the turquoise outdoor whirlpool in front of the green wall. Our centrepiece is the new relaxation room in the sauna area; discreetly integrated into the overall architecture, it nestles against the sauna building and offers space for 60 people. The interior is decorated in a modern, straightforward style, with natural colours and wide comfortable loungers with atmospheric lighting. Outside, there’s a covered wooden veranda. For a short break in the sauna area, check out the new ‘Nature Garden’ with floating loungers.
The new sauna concept specially developed for the AQUA DOME is unmistakable – it embodies the ‘mountains, water, power’ experience of the Ötztal Alps. With unique infusions and peelings. Soothingly scented essences and oils from local herbs and plants, leaves and flowers, conifers and spices are added to the infusions. The gorge sauna, steam dome and loft sauna take centre stage. The new infusion programme reads like an alpine adventure!
