This also applies to our AQUA DOME sauna area with 9 saunas and steam baths spread over 2,000 square metres, considered one of the best locations for sauna and wellness holidays in Tyrol, if not the whole Alpine region. Deeply connected with nature, it is an inspiring place of tranquillity and an elemental experience. Glowing heat meets ice-cold cooling, hot infusion stones meet a cool waterfall, herbs from high Ötztal Alpine peaks meet thermal water drawn from a depth of 1,896 metres. Feel the mountains, water and power: a unique sauna experience
Our sauna concept is unique and was developed especially for the AQUA DOME. It embodies the ‘mountains, water, power’ experience of the Ötztal Alps with unmistakable infusions and peelings. The sauna infusions in one of the best sauna landscapes in Tyrol stand out; soothingly fragrant essences and oils from local herbs and plants, leaves and flowers, conifers and spices are added to our AQUA DOME infusions, as 100 per cent essential oils whose fragrance unfolds in the hot steam or as fresh and dried plants and trees, vaporised directly on the stove using a distillation instrument.
Our sauna infusions are both wellness experiences and rituals. They combine the power of the mountains, the tranquillity of the earth and the flowing energy of water.
We celebrate sauna infusions up to twelve times a day in our sauna area in Längenfeld Tirol – the gorge sauna, the steam dome and the loft sauna take centre stage. The scent of fresh birch branches creates clarity. Oak leaves and alpine herbs help you to connect with nature in deep tranquillity and ground yourself. A water ritual with mineral alpine peeling has a cleansing and renewing effect, while the warm scent of cardamom or cinnamon harmonises and strengthens. And the ‘Alpenglow’ infusion captures the light of the surrounding mountains – warming, inspiring and regenerating.

GORGE SAUNA – origin and tranquillity
Where the mountains meet water and power. The gorge sauna has a central fireplace and offers a view of a typical Ötztal gorge. It is the perfect place for grounding rituals with 100 % pure essential oils. The clear scents of fir, larch and spruce are reminiscent of the breath of the Alps and open the mind to space and presence. Sometimes music accompanies the infusion like a gentle river. Other times there is silence, allowing the elements to speak for themselves. You will find inner balance and deep relaxation – inspired by the power of the elements.

STEAM DOME – cleansing and regeneration
The place where water meets mountains and power. The steam dome is elegantly designed in white and black marble. The steam opens pores, cleanses the skin and clears the senses. Sauna treatments with pure salt, which contains over 70 precious mineral traces, await you here. They come from the depths of the mountains and symbolise stability, clarity and the nourishing power of the earth.
Salt scrubs free the skin and allow it to breathe. Regional herbs energise and vitalise, while honey nourishes. Experience the gentle touch of warmth, herbs and water – in rituals that renew body and soul.

LOFT SAUNA – Rituals and herbs
Power is combined with mountains and water. The two-storey loft sauna epitomises the Ötztal mountains with its massive beams and stone formations. It is the place for powerful rituals with herbs and birch twigs. A distillation instrument is used for the infusion, vaporising fresh and dried plants and trees directly on the stove. This allows the full effect and energy of the plants to unfold. The rising vapour is transformed into the sauna spirit – the messenger that carries the essence of the herbs into the room and connects all those present with their life force. Down below, close to the stove, it is strong, grounding and concentrated. Above, at a height, it is light, penetrating and clarifying.
