Längenfeld Thermal Water & Thermal Longevity
The Längenfeld thermal water, sourced from a depth of 1,865 meters, flows into 2,200 square meters of water surface across 12 indoor and outdoor pools.
The healing properties of this officially recognized spring have a long tradition in Längenfeld, dating back to the 16th century. Originally, the sulfur spring was used as a simple “Bauerbadl” (farmers’ bath). Towards the end of the 19th century, a spa operation developed, which came to a halt in the 1970s when the spring ran dry. Yet belief in the power of water endured – and in 1997, drilling began, reaching 1,865 meters deep into the rock to rediscover and capture this precious resource in a purer form than ever before. This marked the starting point for AQUA DOME, which opened in 2004.
The “secret” of effective wellness at AQUA DOME still bubbles up from a depth of 1,865 meters.
